I found myself in need of some empty needle bottles a couple weeks ago so I sent an email to the gang at Slot Car Corner.
I was informed that they had a new and improved bottle coming out and that if I could wait a couple weeks
they would be available for purchase.
I wasn't in a hurry so I waited a couple weeks and just as promised...a cool new little needle bottle arrived in the mail.

So what's so new and improved about the needle bottle from Slot Car Corner you ask? Well, I'm sure the picture gives you an idea, but just in case it doesn't, here you go:

1. A new 'No Lose' cap.
2. Two different size bottles

Here is where I found myself one day. I was tuning up a couple cars and had my handy needle bottle of oil on the desk...

…and when I finished up my tuning the inevitable happened. Notice anything missing? Yep, that stupid little cap that goes on the needle applicator.

Needless to say, I was more than thrilled to see this new bottle from Slot Car Corner. Losing the cap will never happen again, unless of course you lose the entire bottle.

The Details...

These new bottles come in two different sizes; 1 oz. and .5 oz.. In addition to that, they come with a yellow or black top...of course! The 'no lose' cap is made from silicone and has a band at the opposite end that goes around the neck of the bottle. The 1 oz. bottle measures 1 1/8” diameter and 3 5/8” tall. The .5 oz. bottle measures 15/16” diameter and 3 9/16” tall

The needle top screws on snug to prevent leaks and the tip that goes on the needle is a nice tight fit too. I have had one inverted and one on its side for about 36 hours and there is no sign of leaking. In addition to that, I vigorously shook the bottles with cap installed and there was no leaking. These bottles will make a nice leak-free addition to your slot box. Both sizes are small enough to fit in just about any compartment in your slot box, but you'll want to measure to be sure...or just order one of each!
