Re: ROAR - the Cars and the Builds

That Porsche looks neat; nice chassis re-work. Looks like it will be a good runner, too.

Good luck with the second car.

ROAR - The Concourse and First Race Qualification Run

Well, we started off the day today with a Concourse for the ROAR cars. I figured it would be good to do this before the first qualifying session, because you never know if the cars are all going to look the same after qualifying as they did before it......................... ;) Here's a shot of the ...

Re: ROAR - The Concourse and First Race Qualification Run

Todd, that spreadsheet looks great! Thanks for doing this for the ROAR proxy. :text-bravo:

The pics below the race events and the ROAR banner at the top makes it look really cool!

Re: flared Porsche 356 speedster

That is one nice build!

I was thinking..........maybe we need a fat 356 proxy fun run(?) If that has any traction on this forum, could you pop a few more bodies............?

Re: ROAR - The Concourse and First Race Qualification Run

Pics of the top 4 cars in this concourse round have been added at the bottom of the first post on this thread.

Bill, thanks a lot for the data slicing, I think it made it easier for all of us to see the different aspects of the qualifying run; particularly the drivability factor.

Re: slot it front axile set screws

I usually use 5mm M2 grub screws on the bottom and 3mm M2 grub screws on the top; seems to work for most Slot.It cars. 6mm M2's also works fine for the bottoms, but I think they would be too long for the tops. I agree with Harry that the oval point M2 grub screws from SCC are the way to go from the ...

Re: Video comparison of the Difalco and PM Controllers

Nice comparison, Dave, thanks. I'm using DeFalco Neo controllers on my track. So far, everyone seems to like them.

Inserts for CBDesign Wheels

I need inserts the will fit with CBDesign 15' wheels (15x7, 15x8, 15x10, etc.). I know that these wheels are designed to take Slot.It inserts, but I need 3-prong knock-off wire wheel inserts for a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR. Does anyone know of any aftermarket resin inserts that will work well with ...

Re: Inserts for CBDesign Wheels

I've used D'Art inserts on 15x7 and 15x8 CBDesign wheels in the past and although I really like the detail and thinness he gets with his inserts, the 0.450 inserts are just a little undersized for these wheels. Art's been very helpful in suggesting ways to get a tighter fit, but I'd like to find som...

A little further in now. http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/uu44/apjarvis/Sloty%20Cars%202/001_zpsicm3mmik.jpg It's not at what I would call the pretty stage.............yet ......... Re: Ford - Ferrari Wars Proxy - Rules & Roster

I'm changing my Ford GT-40 entry from #6 to #24. That way I'll have a Ferrari 330/P4 and a Ford GT-40 with the same numbers and similar colors. Sort of a face-off: http://www.electricdreams.com/Shop/myfiles/image/c2642combo.jpg http://www.electricdreams.com/Shop/myfiles/image/SICA18A-combo2.jpg Sort...

OK - you are definitely awake and on your feet today!

Was that the red Ferrari with the aluminum-colored rockers and front? If so, double ouch!
