Not quite what I expected to be posting as a first up on (another) slot forum... But here's a possibly unexpected response from an Aussie... Some years ago I had a friend in Philadelphia who would periodically send me a few pounds of whatever his wife had roasted that day at Torreo. By the time it g...

Tyers Targa

Some of you have seen this work in progress in other places. Some of you may not have. It started its life as a small Scalextric Sport track of 14m (oh, crumbs... I've got to convert to old speak!)... umm... 45-ish feet. That was about 3 and a half years ago now. This is where the permanent track be...

Re: Tyers Targa

Thanks again for the welcome guys.

The number of slot car gals is multiplying around here!

Perhaps you should worry. You know what happens when a few of us get together. ;)

Re: Tyers Targa

Yup. Guilty as charged. The "Pioneer wall" featured in an article. The Banksy-esque Control Rat and some extra posters were added after the article was written.

Re: Tyers Targa

Looks like I'm going to have some fun working out who I already "know" around here. Anyway. It's Saturday afternoon and I've a little while before I've got to go work (the excitement of keying votes for local elections). So I figured I'd take the time to bore you all with some more photos....

Re: Tyers Targa

The article that you mention was done for SlotCar MAG. So, I would probably need to rewrite it. But that can be done without too many issues. I'll put it on the 'TO DO' list. Have a couple of other articles being written at the moment.

Road maintenance is about the same everywhere, isn't it?

Re: Some night lights pic's at Tortilla flat

I've heard a couple of people mention Tortilla Flat. DangerMouse I know has a particular fondness for it. But this is the first time I've seen it.

Beautiful!!!

Re: "Smile"

I'm happy enough to have detail in the foreground. And well, the detailed cars deserve a proper environment to run in. But it is easy to try to pack too much into the small space of a track table. I suppose that's one reason why I made a conscious decision not to have any structures in place that wo...
