Re: New releases...What you want Santa to bring :)

The Scaley XB will happen. The questions are merely when it will happen and how wrong they will allow it to be. Get it right and its a lovely brutal beast. Get it wrong and there will be a lot of unhappy Aussies beating at the door.

Re: Well good morning all

LoL. Maybe I should talk to Jules about a commission. ;) Or I could rent the Pioneer wall out for advertising shots. Maybe I should look at some suitable advertising locations for other brands. The Cherry is too pretty to run for me. It does work hard as a photo tart. The Ace is the Charger that bus...

Re: Well good morning all

Let's face it. We all suffer with that one at times.

Hi. My name is Ember and I'm a slot car addict.

Re: SCX-Escort-MK2-Cossack

Hmmm... Not tackled mine yet. It's one of many on the 'To do' list. http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt122/fading_embers/Slot%20cars/Escort.jpg Unlike yours, mine actually came with the RX42B. Just another of the mysteries of SCX. I don't quite understand why so many folks dislike the SCX guides s...

Re: Do I really need more than this?

Best thing about this hobby is that there's something in it for everyone. I'm quite happy to tinker a little with my cars to make them run reliably. But I'm happy to have my cars feel as different as they look. As long as it looks good and I don't have to fight it in and out of every corner I'm a ha...

Re: A suitable home for your special cars

A Wallaby is just a smaller version of a kangaroo. Think of it like horses and ponies, if it helps.

Oh. A rabbit with a long tail is a Bilby or a Bandicoot in my corner of the country.

Re: Tyers Targa

Thanks guys.

Ted, I don't think Hollywood would be keen on my slow work rate. Hope to get stuck into some more work on the track when I get home from the West.

Re: Cosmic Bilby

 Fosters has got to be the best con that we Australians have perpetrated upon the world at large. Rob (CB) I'll see anything Queensland has to offer and raise you a Perth brew or two. Dang, the West knows how to brew. And it seems like every road in Perth leads to a pub. Or maybe that was just ...

Re: Cosmic Bilby

Ted, I was over there for the better part of 2 weeks (well 10 days really). Departed for home last Friday. Spent most of my time lurking around Joondalup, but spent a couple of days in Freo and visited a friend's track in Yangebup. Went for the other half's Godson's wedding (to an American gal, what...

Re: Cosmic Bilby

Rob if you're after a decent W'Aussie beer there are more than a few being shipped out of the big state of late. Little Creatures Pale is still a favoured drop for me though I'm not overly keen on their mid-strength red Rogers . Spent a nice long lunch at the brewery before catching up with one of t...

Re: The World is ending, what are your plans????

"On the Beach"? Ember, thats the movie where nuclear fallout is wafting down from the Northern Hemisphere isnt it? Its filmed in Victoria and some dude goes nutty, takes his Ferrari out, starts laughing crazy and stack it to avoid dying a slow agonizing death.... Yup. That's the one. Star...

Re: Show us your builds/repaints/projects from 2012 - Any sc

A project just finished in time to make the 2012 cutoff. Mr Blobby had a major makeover and his Jag got a repaint. http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt122/fading_embers/Slot%20cars/Car%20builds/Jag%20XK120/side_zpsd3d5efed.jpg http://i604.photobucket.com/albums/tt122/fading_embers/Slot%20cars/Car%2...

Re: SCALEXTRIC #3303 FORD FALCON XB GT Hardtop BREAKS COVER!

No success from this end yet. But.... I still live in hope. Dropping the motor down to something a little smoother has got to be a good way to start. I've got some MRRC 16k slimlines on their way from UK to Aus at the moment. But they are getting hard to come by, which is a crying shame. MRRC were a...

Re: Dodge Charger , A Family Treasure

I love it! I've had a Mustang on my work bench for ages waiting for it to rust away like that. :)
