Re: Ideas On How To Build A 1:32 Hardtop / Jalopy

Looking real close at that car, It looks like it started life as a 33-34 Ford 5 window coupe. It could be a dodge or plymouth of the same year as well. I dont know of any available mid thirties dodge bodies in 1/32.The angle of the front of the doors, and the space between the back of the door and t...

Better late than never.

I know I am late to the party on these cars, but mine just came in the other day. I have to say, I am pleased with them, and since reading Harry's review's on them, it was no surprise. I must admit though, that if not for the digital trap door, and some extra wire, these chassis' remind me of the Ar...

Re: Better late than never.

Agreed. They ran fine right out of the box for me. Some urethanes, and sanding will bring them up to speed. I have to say mine are very evenly matched at present. Says a lot for the quality control on the motors. No runaway's like some brands.

Scalextric T-bird white kit

Finishing up my T bird from Scaley. I used Decals from an Ebay source, slot car fever These are not a high quality decal set, but they are workable. Overall, the car is coming out pretty good, and will fit right in with the Monte's. I did the standard body float/ chassis fit, and tossed on a set of ...

Re: Scalextric T-bird white kit

I have 4 sets of decals on the way from Slotcar Fever - what should I expect? What about them was below your expectations? Thanks for any feedback you can provide to help me out. The main thing on these decals, is the background colors are off. If you cut real close to the numbers or logos, it pull...

76 Gran Torino NASCAR

Just picked up this little jewel on the cheap. Plain wrapper, but will soon be either Bill Elliot's Rookie car from 76, or The Buddy Baker / Norris car. I could do the RC cola car, but its a coupe. might not look right. either way, should be a fun quick project. https://scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/...

Re: 76 Gran Torino NASCAR

bt - I have to challenge you on one thing about this car you refer to as a 'little jewel'. No way you can use the word little to describe it, it's basically a whale on wheels. We had a '74 Ford LTD, which I actually think was a little smaller and you could hide a basketball team in the trunk when g...

Re: 76 Gran Torino NASCAR

Well, it's not an accurate build by any means, but more of a 'what if" kinda car. Baker was running the Norris car in 76, so RC was out. This puts the two back together, and has a fun twist. Still need another coat of anodizing on the wheels to get the gold right, but its coming together. https...

Re: Cyclone build and tune

Mine is almost finished. I need to print the roof numbers, and some small details. I built mine in a fantasy livery. I used an old Ninco Mercedes chassis ,trimmed to fit, and relocated the front axle a bit further forward. I used ACE brand Orange for the color. Wheels are CB design, Tires are my own...

Re: Cyclone build and tune

That looks pretty cool and just love the color. Gotta be the best looking orange I've ever seen. The Orange is sprayed over a flat black base coat. I find yellow's and oranges don't have the right finish color unless the base is dark. several light coats will cover nicely, without loosing detail. T...

Re: Cyclone build and tune

Thanks Ken. Your kits are great. I messed up when I ordered the body, and didn't include race decals. Where are the chassis' you are referring to sold? I checked your ebay store, but didn't see them. I am in the market for several.
