Re: Show your track! - 2017

Here's some! First is my track, built by Larry, and modified by me. https://s6.postimg.org/rvfyb85yp/3laneblacktop1.jpg https://s6.postimg.org/b7og8qiwx/3laneblacktop3.jpg Then, a very old track I tried to resurrect, but moisture had gotten to it and it fell apart. https://s6.postimg.org/l4zh1t5y9/I...

Re: Show your track! - 2017

How similar is that Mongram track to the old Riggens-Revell track from the 60s?

Re: Revell/Monogram crown gear

There you go, Dickie. I was about to say the same thing. It isn't nitpicky when it comes to getting the right parts in the right place. I would add that for our UK counterparts, a crown gear is called a contrate. In the 1960s, the term "crown gear" came about in US magazines, and at first,...

Re: How do you race?

I saw that done once... guys falling all over each other and laughing so hard they almost couldn't get to their feet. Insane in a small space. But I recommend it once in a while just for the laughs. Particularly when the beer swilling lamp is lit. We use track calls, just because there is so much da...

Strombeckers to sell- second listing, price reduced-SOLD

I restored a flock of these years ago and then left these to sit, so someone else can have fun with them now. The cars with chassis run, all the bare chassis do not, but I haven't really gone over them at all, it could be nothing or DOA. The body without a chassis is a Lotus someone tried to paint w...

Re: How do you race?

Its one of the most damaging of formats to expanding the hobby. Frankly, most of the folks I run with can do without timing at ...

Re: Alternative To Photobucket?

Yep. I endorse it completely. There was a problem once, and I wrote them an email. They responded immediately and fixed the problem. Try that with PB!

Re: Strombeckers to sell- second listing, price reduced

Okay, I'll pack them up and get a handle on the shipping this weekend. The USPS has yet another set of recent rule changes, and the shape of the box is more critical than ever to save money.

Be sure to drop me a PM with your address.
