JK makes one. Yes, some cars will be too narrow for them.

I have a LONG way to go Rusty. I might win the "who takes the longest time to build a car" winner though :)

Little progress...just been busy :)

Image

Made the headers out of solder and crass tubing. Did not think I could solder the assemby to the frame like Shotgun shows us, but I could just get some at the end.

Image

With just that slight amount, these are very strong. Plus mounting the engine with the screw at the bottom really makes it a tough assembly compared to my older cars.

Image

Doing some testing finally. Standard 9/27 gearing and of course MT5 powerplant. ScaleAuto guide up front with SCC braid.

Lookin' Great Harry!
Like the idea of a little tie in between the exhaust and the chassis - pretty slick!

Looking real good Harry. I really like those headers, I'll need to get a lot more practice in CAD to get mine to look that good.

Ok, finally finished.

Image

Changed to the new "F1/Mod" CB Design wheel SCC just released. 15x11 on the rear, 15x10 up front. Paul Gage tires all around. I still gave it a visual stagger effect by using a 22125 tire on the left front.

Decals are SLIXX. Cannot say it enough times, they have a great quality decal at a decent price for us roundy rounders. Many of the decals that are for 1/24 can fit our 1/32 builds.
Paint is Duplicolor Black Metallic. Cannot really see the flake effect very well, but it's there. Clear is Pledge FUTURE shine. Gave it 3 coats and buffed with Meguiar's Gold Class wax.

Image

Lots of fun with this project. Body started out by MT Resins, then heavily modded by our own Strangebrew and recasted for me. Hood is a custom resin from Dixon John. Seems this baby is seriously grass roots :)

Took longer than I wanted, but you all know how that goes :) Thanks for lookin'.... :auto-checkeredflag:

Great looking build Harry - that wheel/tire combination really works on these cars!
