I assume that we will be having two classes for this series, same as NASCAR beach racing did. The "Strictly Stock" class was cars no more than three years old, came into effect after the formation of NASCAR, so is basically 1950s stock bodied cars. The other class was Modified/Sportsman, from before NASCAR right up to the 1960s, and then onto the short dirt tracks. This was the class where the old coupes and sedans were run and wheel well alterations were allowed as also were the removal of grills and hoods.
So, while you can leave the wells uncut on a 40 Ford coupe, in history it was not necessary.
