Oh man SD, that is one of my all time favorite old car styles...would really be interested in purchasing a few if you are gonna do alittle mass producing!!!! Chassis looks good sitting under it...very nice cast!!!

Dave:

I assume that we will be having two classes for this series, same as NASCAR beach racing did. The "Strictly Stock" class was cars no more than three years old, came into effect after the formation of NASCAR, so is basically 1950s stock bodied cars. The other class was Modified/Sportsman, from before NASCAR right up to the 1960s, and then onto the short dirt tracks. This was the class where the old coupes and sedans were run and wheel well alterations were allowed as also were the removal of grills and hoods.

So, while you can leave the wells uncut on a 40 Ford coupe, in history it was not necessary.

He was in the Midget racers and Indy racers, he owned the Gearhardt Indy car number 57.
