A few have asked about this build as they are building up versions of their own - which is cool - I think it really is a good basis for a sturdy and fast club racer that doesn't cost a lot of money.


Here is some info on the tires for those that want to know. I chose Pro Track Daytona Stockers:

Fronts are 1/8" axle 3/4 inch diameter .500 wide w/.500 hub Hard Sponge P/N 261.
(I narrowed these tires down to about 1/4 inch tread width, with a razor blade applied to the spinning tire.)

Rears are 1/8" axle .880 inch diameter .800 wide w/.500 hub Sponge P/N 328.
(I narrowed these tires down to a *full* 1/2 inch tread width, with a razor blade applied to the spinning tire.)


This setup seemed to put the chassis about the right height off the deck and looked reasonable with the narrowed tread, but still had enough to find some traction coming off the turns.
