It has been a long time coming for this project. Since this kit found it's way here as a surprise gift it is now time.



New H&R chassis. I won't use the wheels or motor, but I have plans for the new wheels and always have folks who need a hot motor.

Fingers, it is for looks at first. Mostly the sidewall detail I like.

I do sand the rears to get them to get them true as normal. When sanded they hook up very well down here, but they still have a good drift action which I prefer. Just me, I like to see the old hammers glide.

Just my goofy personal preference.

Dennis, these tires are urethane, remember. In my experience, any size contact patch with urethane in the right compound can equal or beat silicone in any width. The effect is that urethane tires in the right compound in any width, even dusty dirty, feels like freshly cleaned silicones when you run them. I'm sure others have different stories, but you have seen and felt the texture of my track and Heller's, so you have a good idea of the conditions I'm basing the claim on.

Mesh is a brass that railroaders use. Soldered well enough.
