What is that mesh? It looks more like scale expanded metal rather than screen.

Might be because mine is cut different? I have no idea. A large section of it was cut and given to me at a show. It has sat on the shelf for a few years.

I was told that companies like MicroMark, Fine Scale Miniatures, Walthers, and other model railroad companies made all sorts of versions of it. That link seemed to be the closest I could find.

Finally finished the old heap.



H&R HAWK 18k motor and stock gearing. Used velcro for the body mount.



No model contest winner here. Used a playing card trimmed out and then trimmed the dash down. Standard Champion driver bust and some scrap styrene for the roll bar.



Yes, it looks rough. I did it this way using a brush instead of spray. I thought it just fit the car I was doing. Made the decals myself on Testors standard paper.



Looks good enough I suppose. I know it runs pretty good, so I'll take it over to John's oval and see how it fares.

Lot of fun in this one. Then again, they all are. Thanks for all the comments.
