Great looking car Harry, those should have been in-line motored from the start.
I really like the video!

Great mod. Does the Fairlane seem to have the worst fit chassis to you?
I have the same car and the chassis seems to want to bow in the middle.
As JYD says I have sliced and diced it to make it fit better.
Not bad now but far from prefect.

Thanks guys.

Norb, I can't say one is worse than the other. They are all really the identical chassis except for the front axle alignment shims. Those long rectangles the screws up front drop through.

But yeah, this chassis had a tweak in it to say the least. In fact most all of them do. I "corrected" them by sanding the chassis mounts and shimming.

Harry, are you building that chassis style to replace all the stock monogram chassis's in your stock car fleet?
I actually traded a couple of mine off for just that reason, could not make them smooth or quiet, and i had to much invested in them to just trash the chassis. i guess i should have done what you did, i really like that design, and who dont like the bodies!

Yes. I will keep one in rebuilt form to race with others who cannot, or do not want to plunge into this insanity.

Most of my cars have all been rebuilt. Those nice parts from them will go back into the surplus for other models. I will recycle as much as I can.

But I cannot help it. These are some of the nicest looking, most appealing slot cars we have had. Not sure what changes are in store for the new models, but at this point I am not concerned about it. If the new chassis work better, GOOD. I'll keep some stock for when I race with others. If not? Break out the torch. :)
