I have a quick question for all you jalopy builders. How do you keep the guide so It can't be seen from above, or do you just give that up and let it hang out the front?

Keith, I have not found a way to really hide the guide. But if you bring it back close to the front axle, and use some creative front bumper bars, it does not show all that bad to me.

You could pretty much hide a guide if you placed it behind the front axle, but I question how well that would work. About 10 yrs. ago, Al Penrose (BWA) build a Revell coupe with the guide behind the front axle. He said it handled good. That car was posted on one of the slot car boards, but I forget which one. Most of Al's old photos are gone from the boards anyway.
