David,
I’ve exchanged the inline pod for a much preferred Slot.it anglewinder pod to adhere to the other cars in our domestic LMP class. The gearing that I chose was OK, but the car ran out of breath about 75% of the long main straight. It, nevertheless, turned 11,5 seconds lap times, at the shake down and it still has to run the motor in and the gear ratio’s need to be sorted out. I, being a B class driver, run 11,3 and 11,4 second laps with my Porsche 911 GT1 and my Audi R18. So, I think we might have some potential here!
The LMP cars at our club are all running the standard Slot.it gear ratio’s with a Slot.it Flat 6 R motor. The Scaleauto Endurance motor has slightly more torque with the same rpm as the Flat 6 R’s. So, if I run the same ratio’s, and the car hits top at the end of the straight, then I do think that we might have a very good car!
