37 stars would have been the pattern only from July 1867 - July 1877.

I see what you mean, Dave. When General Grant got to be President in 1869 there would have been 37 stars but.......

...at the victory of Grant over Lee in 1865 there were only 35 stars on the flag.

For this story to hang together with any meaning, the General Grant Charger is the nemesis of the General Lee and as such 'Four Star' is rubbing the Duke boys up the wrong way and 'celebrating' what is referred to as 'The Battle of Appomattox Court House' when Lee surrendered to Grant on April 9th 1865.

Im not sure I really get how the General Grant Charger came to be? It was never on the Dukes If Hazzard show right? How did it come to be, did someone make a 1:1?

Any Roadkill fans in the house? Move over General Lee and General Grant! Bring on the nastiest charger of them all, the General Mayhem! I've wanted to build one for ages. I think it would sell well as the Roadkill following is massive now. Over 1 million views on YouTube per episode, in some cases 4-6 Million. Plus it would apeal to the oval guys as well. Jules what do you say eh! Next charger?

When a friend and I raced in Forza Motorsport regularly, he had painted up a Red 1969 Charger with 0.98 on the door, a Canadian flag on the roof, named the "Geddy Lee".
