You might be dead on the money. In some conditions where you could work the gearing, it should be very close. Different track sizes will be a factor of course.
The printed data for the motors are one thing, how they "feel" on the track is often different. Such as with the MX16 (Orange) motor. This motor simply doesn't have a very smooth low end on the power band. In my terms? "Twitchy". Almost an all or nothing feel to it. Most clubs I follow take this one out immediately and choose a different motor. Around here mostly Piranha.
Same with the Flat 6, but not quite as bad.
With more advanced controllers with sensitivity, the motor is quite manageable.
On my little home track the power/speed difference is noticeable. Out on the oval where my straights are a bit longer, it's easily seen.
Will be interesting to see others reports as they compare.
