I've been wanting to tighten up the loose stub axles on my Carrera Capri for awhile now...
....I've been browsing through on-line aftermarket parts on-line and came up with these...
These AVANT brand axle stubs are well made, nicely done and as I (fortunately!) discovered fit the stock Carrera brass bushing very well.
Fitting them is dead easy, just cut off the excess length of the shaft with your dremel (as in picture above), then use whatever spacers etc you feel works best, and glue the end of the new Avant stub back into the wheel (be sure to put a light film of oil on any surfaces you dont want to bind!).
I found the addition of this stub axle tightened the front end up beautifully, making for a no hassle true independent front suspension system like it was meant to have been.... :)
