Changed gears on the cars I was building for the big ROAR race coming up. the Marx cars were just to clunky for the cool tracks they will be ran on. SO..I cast these two Lister Jags, and built up a couple chassis for them. Two different approaches on these. One has and MT1 The other has the slim can version of the same. still have roundels and numbering to do, color sanding and clear coats, but overall, they are in the final build stages. Also trying out a new tire compound for this race. Custom tires too, you might say. Hope you all like them!
Thanks Guy's! I hope they will do well. the rear car in the pictures got a few laps on it and it is promising, Mcliams, the front car has BRM wheels, the rear car has Racers. About the same thing really, but there is a slight variation between them.
The Lister Jags are perfect for the ROAR. Those look nice already! Very slippery shape; they should do well. Good luck with the slimcan version. I've never had a lot of luck with them in cars that weigh over 50 grams. Probably just me, but the low torque on those motors makes it hard to go with anything that approximates tall gearing.
Lister Jag a very cool car. And you have 2! So one is an MT1 and the other an MT/SL1? Let us know what you think of the difference between the 2. If you execute your normal build on these they will be beautiful!
Those are beauties Bob! I have always had an affection for the Lister Jags with that low profile hood with the hump in it to make clearance for that big six motor. I look forward to driving them when they come here to run on the Lost Coast Raceway.
Funny Mike, I had an affection for them too. Dave TSgt fulfilled mine a couple of months back when he sent me one he had made. Thanks Sarge. Great cars for sure and a great example of a Roadster. They sure look British Racing Green to me Bob. it will be something to see the Roadster line up when they all get to Allans, and maybe when they get there after the series too. Bob C
