Thanks for the replies & comments. Yes Jon these will be raced. Well not really raced but driven. I dont race on any Commercial tracks, just here at home. My track is only small so & all my cars run 18K Hawk motors so they dont really pick up to much speed. But yeah they are not just show ponies!

The #9 is all together, Its just missing the hood pins which I just ordered yesterday. I got some nice photoetch ones for these cars. The #6 is clear coated & just needs the glass & interior glued in & the chassis mounted. I did not have enough inserts for this car so I just ordered these on Monday. The wait is 2-8 weeks, just hoping its closer to 2 weeks :) . Ill have pics of these over the weekend.

Been waiting to see the family pics of these beauties! Just about every slot lover is wishing these were their cars. I know that for me, they are the ultimate trans am slots. I had the HO versions as a kid and loved every lap. I can only imagine how awesome it would be to own and drive those two. Very cool build and thanks for sharing. Oh, did I mention that I hate you!

Ok guess what, you are not going to believe this but these are finished & I have photos. :o These crazy cars have fought me all the way, you know when things just dont go right. This was those from start to finish. They did my head in a few times & I gave up building anything for a few months but Im super glad they are done now!

Just to wrap things up a few details. These are 1/25 scale. Bodies are resin from Jimmy Flintstone, they are painted in Tamiya TS26 white, TS49 bright red & TS15 blue & cleared in Tamiya gloss clear. Decals are a mix of Pattos & my own design that Matt printed. Chassis is H&R with front wheels all round, 18K H&R Hawk Motor & my own cast urethane tires. Minilite inserts are by Partsbox. The chrome bumpers I used baremetal foil. The kit didnt include glass so I used a empty plastic soda bottle & cut the glass out. It also has photoetched hood & trunk pins from detail master.

The resin kits from JFlintstone was missing parts but I made do with what I had & scrounged parts from my spare parts bin. If I didnt have them I made a few parts from scratch from styrene.

I realised now after taking the photos that I should of cleaned them up a bit. They have been sitting around for a few months in bits so they are a bit dusty. Also 1 part of the roll cage on each car decided to unglue itself & have to work out how to reglue it without pulling the interior out as its hotglued in. Thats a project for another day. Anyway heres some pics -

First up #6 Donahue -

So thats it, sorry it took so long. Ill have to upload some underside pics tomorrow, I forgot about that. I just need to clean them up a bit, reglue the roll cage parts & add a guide & leads. Now to build the rest of the T/A field!

Wow those photos uploaded large! Photobucket has changed since I last used it. Im guessing my settings changed with the new photobucket. Harry is this to large? What size do they need to be for the site? I can downsize the photos. Let me know.

Greg, those came out beautiful! Really great work on both of them and you should be proud of the work you put into them. Well worth the effort for a finished product like those. Very cool!  :)

Thanks for all the comments. Yeah Im happy with how these turned out. Everytime I build a new car I try & up the anti each time. Each build I try something new that gives it that bit extra. I polished them up this evening with some car polish. They are really shining now. Just need to work out how to glue the rollbar back in through the side windows. Fun!

Sure Harry, put a photo up top or anywhere else you want.

I remember when you were looking for the resins to do those cars. You really stick to a project, don't you. Great results, too. I'm shamed by both!

Just thought I would update with some underside shots. Since the photos I have painted the underside black. ALso attached a guide & lead wires & spacers on the axle. Good to go now.
