Got one of the SRC Lola T600 painted body kits that suits a Slot It HRS chassis well with minor work.

Image

Trimmed the transmission/wing carrier surround with a Dremel sanding cone to clear the chassis's rear mount and motor pod.

Image

Image

Opened up the front nose duct and front valence to clear the guide screw and allow unhindered rotation.

Image

Rounded the chassis rear edges to clear the body work.

Image

Cut the rear side mount cups from their half moon shape to clear the body's side ducts.

Image

Not using the nicely detailed interior driver's tray and tranny/wing support pieces at this time but with some patience could be installed.

Image

Looking good with Slot It BBS wheel inserts all around and PG tires at the rear.

Runs well as you would expect with a HRS chassis on my little test track. Real test is tonight on Luf's Big Targa.

Could you post a report on how the HRS works. I have 2 and want to improve its current chassis. :text-thankyouyellow:

I picked up a painted body for this car and it is gorgeous. Now I have four of the buggers.

I've done this on two other Lola T600 bodies and can confidently say the performance is very good.

Image

There could possibly be a slight improvement in the corners as the previous cars were closed wheel arch ones with a narrower rear track. They needed rims with little or no inside hub to not rub on the chassis or body's arch covers.

Image

This latest build has about a 3/16" wider rear track.

A big factor for this more comprehensive kit purchase was that it had a windscreen which was absent in the previous body-only buys. This allowed plaster molds to be made and Luf's vacu form machine did the rest.

Should run well and better than the stock cars.

Have you tried the CG Slotcars printed chassis under one of these Lola's?
