Bill is right....that motor is a balanced 16D for commercial track racing. I used to blueprint them every weekend........They are faster than a standard 16D because of the balanced arm....but they can still be a dog if they aren't blueprinted. Based on my experience, the 2% thing is a marketing gimmick all the way that allowed them to charge more. I never bought 2% motors.
They are way too fast for a home track, unless you have a long and swoopy home track. Slotworks made a stamped steel chassis too, to compete with the Parma Flexi-car and Flexi2, and this motor was often used in Group10 GTP racing here in Minneapolis. Geared right, it should push that car pretty well.
