Finally got the guide holder on and chassis is in for one last tumble. Gluing tires tonight true tomorrow and start assembly. Now got to get busy on two more. A Lola T70 Can Am chassis and my V.N.F.R. chassis. Time is ticking.

Chassis…. Any plastic or scratch built inline or sidewinder motor configuration can be used. Chassis may be shaved along it's edges to allow body float. SCC adjustable front axle mounts allowed. Name and body screw adjustment information on chassis underside is encouraged. Minimum chassis clearance is .062. Gears may be lower, but cars may be excluded from racing if gear contacts the track or rails (track owner's discretion). No Magnets.

Body can be lower but not slammed. Wheel opening cannot be lower than the top of the rim.

OK, thanks for the clarification. I guess I was interpreting that all body parts must have 0.062 clearance; except the spur on crown gears.

With the understanding that the body wheel wells can not be below the upper rim of the wheel, is there a minimum track clearance height for the tracks that we'll run on in this proxy? I ask because on wood tracks with copper tape rails, I've gone as low as 0.020" (0.5mm), but usually on something like Carrera track, with its raised rails, I don't go lower than 0.039" (1.0mm).

Is it my eyes, or does that guide plate tilt ever so slightly to the left?

Sorry, I have absolutely no experience building brass chassis, but it looks a little slanted in the pic, to me.........
