The graphite dust didn't do the trick. What about charcoal dust, or soft pastels?

It's actually quite mucked up if viewed from above, but most of my photos shoot across. What is required is 1/32 scale dust to give the dirt some dimension. Real dust is too big.

Pastel dust. It's basically chalk and binding agent. Chalk is very fine.

lovely

need to find a new source of 18 and 19" wheels - a mate mentioned trimming down Ninco 18" wheels but then I would still need spokes - Peter S-G's wheels really make a difference on these cars
