A Big Thank You!

Postby GENERAL MY WAY » Sun Apr 19, 2015 10:17 am

Thank you very much BTaylor and Shotgun for my goodies. Now I have a spice rack maybe I can cook a decent meal. And now with the scale I can get the weight of the burgers right before I give them to Harry to throw on the grill. And a big thank you to Gentleman Norb for the Pepsi cooler that I turned into my redneck fountain.

My great-grandfather had a scale just like that hanging from a frame on the back of his '53 Chevy 3/4 ton truck when he came to town to sell all the wonderful things he grew in his big garden. When the wind blows and it starts changling and clanging around, it will be playing the music from my grandpappy's truck (no radio). He had a redneck fountain, too, but he called it the pig trough pump. I loved priming the leather flapper to get it started.

The weigh scale is for bragging rights after one of those monsters is consumed. Just before slipping into a coma, the victim poses beside the scale, still stuck on the massive weight of the burger, and gets his photo taken.
