Well looks like slot car racing in the land down under will need to be a bucket list item

Yep. My wife and I have been planning and dreaming a trip to Melbourne to see her pals, and our own HRW Lynn, then on to points north. Maybe NZ will stand still long enough to see it, too... Its so expensive, and the flight so tortuously long, the tendency is to cram as much as humanly possible into the time one is there. You don't want to ruin the trip that way, but they came to see us here, so we owe them a visit.

Think of the Kiwis....everywhere is eleven hours or more in an aeroplane except for Aus.

Try a cruise maybe?

I am at work at the moment in central Australia. One of the places on the map that says burn.
We had a 51 degree C day here a couple of days ago. The map is correct.
