A few years back I thought I would build an outdoor wood fired pizza oven from a project a guy did online. Its a small thing, easily built, and is impervious to weather. Then I started looking for a spot to build it, and discovered that the only way to do it would be to clear enough space in the woods so something permanent could be out of the way and be easier to mow around. That means no fewer than five big trees that shade my house from blazing afternoon heat would have to go. I'm sitting on 8 acres of "nowhere to build that oven".
