David,
Congrats on the new house (I'm late as usual) If nothing else, all the wrapping and unwrapping gives you a chance to dust all of your cars. Hope you have some good spots to wheel the JK near your new place!

After 8 months I still "Find" boxes of cars that are not where they are supposed to be!

Thanks guys. It was hard, but the track will get put back together by all the King's horses and all the King's men. The upside is that I've learned so much with this track that I just love the wood now. I did have to tear it down to the road-base, but I'll peel off the tape, set it all up and smooth out a few joints better. I will say that I will use Luf's tape tool and NOT lay it by hand next time LOL!

It will probably be late summer before it runs again, I have an entire house and the RMS Skunkworks to put back together first!

Dave - Plan is to have it running for that leg in November...I'd like it running by July!

Not really sure, but that's their problem in 3 days!

I'll take pics of the new place soon as it starts shaping up.

Progress! I took a few hours to put two new IKEA cabinets together for my cars. I then unboxed all of my cars. My daughter was absolutely cracking up as I was doing my best Gollum impression every time I opened a box and cackled.

Nice cabinets! How many does each one hold? We don't have an Ikea here, but I can drive. Looks great so far David. 8-)

Ken - they work well. As most things IKEA - you get to put it together. I can get 20 T/A cars on each shelf. At $135, they are decent! http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S59908467/

Lee - they definitely keep the dust down!

Johnny - I didn't route a slot, but I usually don't. Good idea though.

Johnny - good idea!

Raz - I'm not sure that describes it yet LOL!

I did get an early Father's Day gift:

Hopefully I can grill at least half as good as Harry. That's how I do everything: grill half as well as Harry, race half as well as Jeremy, paint half as well as Dave...
