Hi Jabbatee,
Scenery will be forthcoming...if I can stop racing long enough, that is!

Hey ShotGunDave,
You aren't far from me at all! I am in Rancho San Diego, right in between El Cajon and La Mesa. Getting together sounds great!

WOW!!!!
That looks great!
Really like the foam barrier detail - that is pretty slick!

Nice build thread. I like seeing long skinny tracks.......too many folks think it needs to be wider than 4 ft and that's just not the case.
Well done!

Thanks, Jabbatee.
You know, I have been reading these forums for a long time. Back when Artin track was popular, I got into the hobby. Around that time, someone mentioned using neoprene tape as inexpensive borders on plastic track. I bought some and used some for awhile. And I recalled this as I was building this track with "the wall" at the end of the straight. This idea came from that. But it all comes back to this community. Pretty great, in my opinion! :)

Thanks ChappyMan,
Yes. My former track was a 7 foot wide Artin layout. It just took up too much room. (Not that I don't like huge layouts!)
But I really like the "crossover" type of layouts because lane lengths are so similar. There is no real advantage from one lane to another.
