Regalman82's New Track

Postby Scatman1 » Fri Feb 01, 2013 5:54 pm

Well, Blake has converted to wood from Ninco Digi. :D I told him, once he tried wood, it was hard to go back. :o Spent this afternoon racing some classic and COT NASCAR. The track is fast and the lanes are almost equal. The laps we ran were so close that if you made a mistake, the other guy would jump ahead. But, it was easy to catch up if you hit all your marks.

Blake, you did a great job for your first track. This track will last a long time before you/we get bored.

Sorry Blake, could not hide your belly.

Outstanding. And looks like he knows about aprons and how important they are.

Great job.

Thanks guys for the kind words. I will say that it was a lot more easy than i though, already looking at what i can do for the next track. The landscaping will be done in sections so i can replace them at will. I think i am going to name the track Gulfport Speedway. Will post progress pics as i go along.

Thank you

Thanks guys for the nice replies. This the first of many update as we go along.
The first pic is of the the three modules on the front left part of the track.

This a over head of the same section along with the added guard rail by the grandstand.

The last pic today is of a rock retaining wall along the back half of the left side.

I would get things done sooner but to busy running the track and not working on it. :D

Thanks for looking,

The next set of updates are done. First is the lake turn, after a really fast section of the track is this nice little 180 deg. turn that runs you into a squeeze in the next turn.
Image

Also got the back two small sections along the s's that run to the back of the track.

That's all for now , thanks for looking
