Yes, it has been a long time for another update but nothing new has been done with the track until tonight. Just been too busy racing on it but it is time to get this things going on scenery. I had the big empty space between the lines in front of the pits so tried something with some white paint to fill it in a little. Harry gave me some ideas when he was here and Dave gave me some on his recent visit so I think I am ready to get going on this thing now. Oh it also has a name now...The AAR (All American Raceway) :auto-driving:

Nice work. It is sometimes hard to get any detail done when you make a track that is so much fun to race on.

Thanks guys glad you like the stripes. I wasn't sure about them at first but I think they do the job for that area.

Bobby, the SCC guys are the best! Yes, they do know what you want before you even order it. I think its the mental telepathy that Dickie uses each day he opens the doors. :lol:

What wiring are you using for your track after you put down the braid?

I run SSD track and thinking about building my own track.

Also, do you find your track getting dirty being in the garage and a loss of performance?

If I don't cover my track dust builds up and the cars don't run well or at all.

I have been trying to figure out something for a wall behind the pit area for awhile now. I wanted to do a step down type wall and finally got it made this afternoon. Just a strip of pine and cut it down with my table saw. Used 1/2in basswood strips for the columns and used some screen lattice for the concrete caps on top. Planning on getting some plastruct brick wall sheets to fill in between the columns and will have scenic base and rock molds butting up against the ends to finish it all off.
