And it begins...

Dr. Noble supervises the mess as I finished removing the tape :)

I have the router depth set...seems like a good time to heat up some wood.

More to come...stay tuned.

Yes-sah!!!!!!

Dr. Noble... Do NOT let da Boss sit on his tushy during this project....

Bob and I will roll out the remaining braid/tape for you tomorrow, and will ship out Monday along with your Torino and a couple of "surprizes" on Monday. That's assuming Bob gets over his new "Destiny" gift you sent him...

Dr. Noble must have a Roman bloodline running deep as he kept pushing me on :)

All routed!

NOTE: Having a GOOD router with an attached Shop Vac base is PRICELESS.

Ugh...have to clean now :)

Look forward to the package Dickie. I hope Destiny finds a good home with Bob.

Harry, nice work Sir. Now that you have gone away from copper tape, will you ever go back? If you build another track.

Sure, nothing wrong with tape. Inexpensive and it works just fine. With 6 plus years running it, I really can't say much.

But after bullet proofing the oval, I just had to do this track. :)

Hey, what are those fancy foot cushions you got on the floor there? Those weren't there on our visit or was I just laughing too hard and never saw them.

Those cushions I found at HF on sale.

Driver comfort & safety is #1 here at HRW.

Yes, I am repainting. I found a color I like better. We shall see how it turns out :)

The General has informed me that since it is nice and warm out, it is good weather for her to supervise Anthony and I put up the outside Christmas lights. So time to shut off the paving equipment for now :)

I am very happy. Turned out pretty good for a rookie :) I have been asked if it's worth it. YES, of course it is. At least in my eyes. Clean and reliable power that is less maintenance for me. For a track that has been around this many years, it earned it.

Now to start running it in :) Thanks SCC for the help. Once I saw how easy it was I knew I wanted to to this one myself.

Harry, looks great. I 'm sold. When I build my road course, I'm going with braid. The track looks great.

Track looks great - nice work Harry!

Now that you've braided a track on your own, you've lost your "rookie" status and are hereby declared a "pro"...
