Working on some of the unfinished areas on my road course. I wanted to bring a little more Flavor of Monaco or some of the other famous Tracks to my layout. so coming down from the Mountains to the flats, I added a bit of Sand and some palms to the area, and redone my pit area as well. It might be a bit of a stretch, but I like the change, and we have to please ourselves first right? :lol:

Looks great Bob , reminds me of the race they used to run in the Bahamas Speed Week.
what a difference scenery makes. The cars look faster and in situ.

Well Thank you Guy's! I wasn't sure to begin with, but I really like it. I need to do the right barriers around that area still, and I am not sure what to do yet?

Looks great, Bob. Where is it in relation to the door, I can't quite place the location? I see stuff like this and can't wait to get a permanent track set up (it's the old model railroader in me, I guess).

Sarge, its right in front of you as you come in the door. I removed the Pit building, and replaced it with the one in the picture. its up against the right side wall. The now sand and palm area is where the Pan Am proxy cars were parked.

Hmmm fencing , well what I used was a drill with a depth stop ring, and drilled into the wood.
I had cut numerous pieces of dowel to the length I liked best.
They fit into, the drilled holes.
After that it was a choice of wood slat rails or wire or more but smaller dowel for, the rails.
They arent glued into, the holes so can be removed whenever, and the holes can always be filled.
Just what I did on mine.

I love it! I think from a fencing perspective, wood would work just fine for the era.

David, I think you and Chappy are right. I was kind of leaning that way, I think a white painted wood fence with a few hay bales would do the trick. Thanks for the suggestions, its always good to have some other thoughts.
