Truing Carrera 1\24 on your Razor

I attach the pulley to the side near the gear in such a way that there isn't enough room for the bushing to come off the fork, then I just hold the other side in place with a finger while truing the D124 tires. It takes a long time (up to 20 minutes[by contrast, a 1/32 car trues in about two minutes]) and is a bit of a pain if the bushing gets out of whack, but the results are fantastic.

I remember those photos of Harry's Razor and thought that was a great idea, but never equated it with being the fix to my D124 dilema. I'll have to give this a shot. Thanks for posting this, Jon!

A few guys bought extra pulleys to act as a collar, and we are getting alot more guys racing 1\24

I also use Johns pulleys but this is a great tip.

On 1/24 at the comercial track all the bushings have one sholder, Put the sholders to the outsides and use spacers out to the wheels should work....We run 1/8" and 3/32" axles so we would need to buy a drive pully for each, ...I am in the process of buying one of these tire razors for the track owner!

Thanks to this tip, I just trued three sets of Carrera 1/24 axles, front and rear. I Hobo drilled the bushing with a dull bit and cut it in two with a Dremel cutoff wheel. Some drops of Super Glue on each arm for the bushing did the trick.

Glad you gave it a try, this trick works for the SCX cars with those egg shaped bushings they used, just dont ream it
