Is the Carrera 1:32 digital chip the same as the 1:24? In other words can it be put in a 1:24 car and run with Carrera 1:24 digital cars. It is the latest digital technology.

I've run a 1/24 chip in a 1/32 car, but not the way you are asking. The only concerne may be if the 1/24 motor draws more amps than the 1/32 chip can handle????

I put the 1/32 chips in H&R chassis and it handles the 40,000 rpm motor with no issues so far, but don't know how it would do with the Carrera 1/24 motor that needs 18v.

Those appear to be the 2005 cars that came in PRO-X and Evolution. Either on will have to be a custom install. The chassis are different for PRO-X and Evolution cars, with the Evolution car having the better guide design of the two. As a bonus, that generation DTM is a lighter car than the later Gen 2 and current Gen 3 produced cars.

The "U" shapped D132 chip is the one to use. You will have to cut holes in the chassis for the LED and direction switch, attach the chip to the chassis and solder the wires.

Thanks you for the info; I'll probably look for "digital only" cars.

Does anyone have a close up picture of a digital chip? I think I may have accidently gotten a few in a trade.
