After a good bit of discussion with my group, we decided to change up the layout. All of us agreed it was time to try some new tracks. After seeing so many awesome oval short track cars posted on the HRW FB page, I just had to try a small oval. A 'Martinsville' style oval is what I put together first. It took quite some time to tear the track down, as the several coats of paint had essentially glued all the pieces together. Here are a couple of pics,

We raced on this Tuesday night, and we all quickly agreed that it had to go. Unfortunately, digital racing is not best suited for short track oval racing. I didn't enjoy it near as much as I thought I would. I would enjoy racing an analog oval track much more.

We built a new track tonight. I will be taking pictures soon, once I finish some more decorating, etc. :auto-checkeredflag:

After extreme long hours put in by the construction crew, the new Snyderville Speedway is complete!

This track lives up to the name speedway a bit more. You really carry a lot of speed around turn one and onto the back straight. We raced on this for the first time Friday, and we all really enjoyed it. I think this layout will stick around for a bit.

We used stock rubber tires on our 1/24 cars. I love the marble build up in the corners. It makes it feel like a real race track!

Wow, the marshalls are fast! I can't even see 'em, and the cars are put in the correct lane every time too.
Seriously though, looks like you guys have a nice group going with some fun racing. It's great to see some younger people enjoying slotcars. You have really managed to get your track and group of racers going well in a short amount of time.
