Look at that! I notice you didn't just reverse one of the previous photos! A whole new shot just for us. You're a prince, David. LOL!
Are the peculiar signs built yet? That's a real sin qua non of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Next project is a wooden fence for the climb up to the tunnel. Then some signs and a log cabin or two.

As someone who can see a small sliver of the Blue Ridge Parkway from my driveway, I must say, you have done an excellent job. I know you said you referred to photos of BRP for details, and it really paid off. The tunnel facade is exactly like the tunnels on the BRP and you have a little more exposed rock, but it is a really nice track. You have really done a good job on the scenery, and with the elevation changes, I bet it is a great track to drive.

Hey Dangermouse. Your track looks great. When and if I ever get around to adding scenery to my track, I'm thinking of using the Blue Ridge Parkway as inspiration. Can I ask where you got the tunnel entrances/fascade from? Are they a mold, purchased already made, or something you made yourself?
Thanks!

Hi I made the tunnel entrance myself. I used some high density foam board. I drew out the design cut it with a sharp knife and then etched the bricks/rocks into it with a blunt pointed tool.
I then coat with white PVA glue (wood glue) and sprinkle very fine sand over the glue. Once dry paint grey and dry brush with white and burnt sienna and umber to weather as desired.
I can take a photo of the foam board if you need me to.
cheers
David
