Thanks guys!

"where did you find the printed boxes in the gas station?"

Ebay. Look up gas station diorama. They usually come in 1/24th but you can reduce them on a copy machine.

I decided that it's going to be a theater. I still need to add the marquee, weather it, add the "coming soon!" posters & fabricate a door. It's a work in progress. I have some plastic letters on the way to spell out AVON THEATER.

At this point I'd say this is about half done. I need to add the theater name (AVALON), weather it a bit & add a rudimentary lobby & lights. Questions?

The theater is in a holding pattern until the lettering for the main sign gets here. On to the next building. This one will be a grocery store. This was made with foam core & styrene. I have yet to add the rear of the building, the roof, the art deco sign & of course, then paint & weather it. Shown here is the model, a photo of the prototype & some of the signs I'll use. The signs are from Dave's Decals.

Progress. The lettering is from a bag of charm bracelet letters I bought at WalMart for $4.00. I still need to add all of the 'sales" signs, the front doors etc.

I got some more work done on the theater. I decided to change the name because "COMET" fit on the marquee better. I added the lettering, aged it a bit with chalks & added a simple lobby. The lobby consists of a small bit of carpet & a photo of a concessions stand. Quick, which one of you movie buffs recognizes the carpet? Any questions?
