Land Rush! When I get around to it most of these will have some mud/dust added.

I added a "Falling Rock" feature. It is, after all, an off road raid course so I should have a few obstacles to negotiate. I already had a 'swerve" track there so I just glued a few small rocks in place using 5 minute epoxy to make it authentic. It was kind of hard to glue the smaller ones in place without leaving a big blob of glue so ended up adding a bunch of small faux rocks with paint to sort of fill it in. : ) The cars go over it just fine, but you have to slow down, which was the whole point.

Of course I had to add a "Falling Rock!" sign.

These photos are so good, especially love the angle of the last one, take those rails out and it's almost like you're standing on the side of the road. Brilliant.

I just watched most of Cars yesterday, your layout could be Radiator Springs. Do you have any of the "cars" from the movie. If this has already been mentioned forgive me for not reading all 11 pages.

A cardboard mock up of the next building. I often make mock ups so I can play with the shapes until I get the look I want & also, I can race for a day or two with the cardboard building in place top see if it is a view blocker or not.

This will be a biker bar, a version of the world famous "Full Throttle Saloon". Anyone got any 1/32 motorcycles they want to sell?

It doesn't cost a lot to make a decent looking building. For Rowdie's Roadhouse I used craft sticks and a bit of styrene. This one is about half done. I still need to add the motorcycle crashing through the front of the facade, more signs and to age it. I'll take lots of pics & explain the aging process when I do it in the next few days.

Image[/URL]

I was worried about staining the brightly colored sticks but a couple light coats of flat black spray paint covered real good + you can still see the wood grain.

The bikers need to be toned down a bit too. I'll use a raw umber wash like I did with the Homies.

I'll be picking up some cool bikes to detail the scene in the next few weeks or so.
Questions?
