the start of my first track after 35 years

I was running some home tracks at other peoples homes and needed a test and tune
for the few cars I had bought used .
I built the first table in my garage and moved it into the spare bedroom onto the bed.
Not knowing how much I was going to stay interested in this new hobby,(or old hobby I should say)
I was able to take the track apart and stand the base against the wall when the spareroom
was needed for guests. This was about 4-5 years ago. Updated pictures to come at a later
time. Still having trouble getting pictures to come up. Ya i know, I'll get the hang of it
eventually. I hope

Watch out! I restarted in the hobby a few years ago with a set just about like you have. I got the bug in a big way. It is addicting.

But your warning comes way to late. After setting up a photo account, and help from Harry

I can tell you now, things don't look the same.

Regards with not even a little bit of regrets

Ooh. Slotting is waaay too addictive. It's a wealth hazard. They need to put warnings from the Surgeon General (or whatever he's called in America) on the slot car boxes.

You've been warned! Once infected there is no known cure. The sufferer may go through periods of remission but symptoms will usually return. Sometimes years later.

But it's an awful lot of fun. :)

What do you mean addicting? I can quit this at any time.

Ok...maybe not.

Thanks Harry I think i got the hang of it (posting pics)

After adding more fencing, a timing light bridge and lap timer 2000 with all the computer stuff,
wires and monitor, it was now impossible to take it all apart to use the spare bed for company.
They were offered the floor to sleep but always declined. Oh well i was to busy to entertain (unless
you want to race on the track) anyways !!All the while sizing up a new spot on the other side of the
basement. Maybe I could sweet talk her into me making a BIGGER track in the rec room !!
After all, the guests could have the bed back and not have to sleep on the cold and damp old floor.
I was only thinking of them you know !!! LOL

I changed my track into the rec room and added another 4 feet to the end .
After running on the other track I knew I wanted to keep the straight and large
circle to go around the built in monitor, so I could glance at my time as I went around it.
I was just trying to use as much track that i had,in the best way possible,as I was using both scx and
scalextric wth convertion tracks to hook the pair together. I really did not have a track layout plan.
Updated pics to come.
