I'm really starting to get all chuffed up about this one. A true home track oval, several of our best builders involved, and just look at the imagination and fun that has gone into it so far!

Those are some great looking rides! I can hardly wait to get them here to see in person! :D
(oh and I won't be helping the balance of Ford vs. Chevy as I will be sending in a Fairlane... :) )

Glad my beast made it ok. Looks like that 60 Fury and my Galaxie are the longest cars in the field! Land yachts forever!

My Mopar is en route. The Fury is long, but not very wide.

Another Mopar will be joining the field. I'll be running test laps tomorrow. Could not find plastic tubing anywhere in Nashville at any hobby shops, Lowes or Home Depot only brass. Didn't want to take a chance of Fantasy World not getting it here by Wednesday. But they are generally good at getting things here that quick. Anyway I got some wood and made my mounting post. Waiting for the JB Weld to cure tonight. UM not sure where to put my name on this chassis. Not much plastic to it. Maybe I'll put it on the body.

Dave not sure if you sent me the address yet or not.

Got the car finished last night. Ran a few laps on my 27' Indy style oval. 12 Volts. Ran consistently 20 laps in 1.11.57 min after I trued the tires. Before tire truing it was 1.14.72 min. The slowest time was a 1.13.69 fast lap 3.62 secs. with the chassis loose. The fastest time was 1.11.52 mins. Fast lap time was 3.45. Now lets put that in prospective. Forums Cup COY class with 21.5K Slot.it motors fast 20 lap time was 1.01.10 fast lap of 2.93 secs. So we end up with 10 seconds over 20 laps or .5 secs a lap.

Pictures show the stance of the modified car vs stock Monogram. Height has been reduced by 4mm at the rear and 2mm at the front. Ride is now almost level front to back. Car is heavy 110 grams with no additional weight. This surprised me as the body alone is 41 grams. May be the wooden mounting post. Not sure. But I'm sure they are heavier than hollow plastic ones. Couldn't find in plastic in the city and I want to get this in the mail. Not sure if there are any penalties for late arrivals or not.
