I am looking forward to getting my car back here to find out what in the world happened to take it from being one of the fastest to one of the slowest. It was always cold natured, getting much faster the longer it was run, but I'm beginning to think something else is going wrong in there.

Kev - that layout of the qualifying "distances" is very cool and shows just how close these cars are in performance! Definitely fits the IROC scenario! :D

Sorry guys.. Bunch going on has interfered with playtime..

Got the Mavericks packed up and they are going out to David tomorrow for the final round of thier proxy..

I got to Massachusetts to my HQ and got a brand new Toshiba laptop last week with a webcam..
I'm pretty sure I'll be able to broadcast the Porsche proxy race live..
My plan right now is to run it on Saturday the 27th.. I'll post a run time as soon as I confirm with my
wife the hours she's working that day etc.. Again, sorry for the delay.. we'll get it in shortly!

Hello Porsche builders and racers ~

A dear friend of ours passed away Thursday, losing a battle with ovarian cancer.
The calling hours were tonight and the funeral is tomorrow at 10am, followed by a lunch reception and visit in the afternoon.

I am still going to try and run the race tomorrow late afternoon / evening if at all possible as we are leaving Monday morning
with the RV for a vacation in Maine.. I feel terrible my leg has been filled with distractions and delays :(

I can't give a specific time as it's up in the air right now but I'll do my best to complete it Saturday as planned.

Kev - No need to rush running them!
Would hate for you to feel the "need" to run them just to "get it done"!
I believe that field of sweet little Porsches are a thing to be enjoyed!
I know that I for one, would rather you see you take your time with them and "enjoy them" - versus rushing to run them, just so that you can get the race "in the books" and send them on!

OK.. Here's where we stand..

I was able to get round 1 run tonight.. Rusty got to see a couple rounds, and Todd got to see a couple..

Races are set for 2.5 minutes each.. track call buttons are used for an off with no delay built in.

Had a timing system issue where the timer would just freeze.. re-ran 1 race with success then it failed on the next so I told Rusty I was
going to scrap it for the night and move the timing program to a backup laptop.. Well, then I decided to change the USB port the timing
sensors are plugged in to which changed the com port as well.. Since that change the timing has been reliable so after a test, I ran the
remaining races in round 1 (which Todd saw)

1 of those races was very close with just 8 inches between the cars at the finish..

Round 2 will be run tomorrow night at 7pm EST and I'll broadcast live at that time..

Just so everyone understands the format.. Qualifiers 1 & 2 are running against each other, round 1, Q1 in blue lane, Q2 in red lane.
Qualifiers 3 & 4 are running against each other, round 1, Q3 in blue lane, Q4 in red lane... etc etc..

Then in round 2 we'll run the same cars against each other only in the other lane.. Q1 in red lane, Q2 in blue lane.

That way over the 2 rounds, I am driving each and every car in the blue lane, and Cooper is driving each and every car in the red lane.

The 11th qualifier, Jeremy is running solo in the blue lane in round 1, solo in the red lane in round 2.

Laps and partial laps are being added together for a total lapcount to determine finish order.

Had one car failure tonight in the form of a broken guide half way through a round.. that car is being repaired
and will be re-run tomorrow night just prior to round 2 so he gets a complete fair run for the whole round here..

Results~!

Couple of surprises here guys.. Couple of the fast cars dropped on long runs, and some slower cars
ran that speed consistantly for a good finish..
