A new home for the Meadowdale Raceway slot car track

I would like to announce that my Meadowdale slot car track will be donated to the Meadowdale International Raceway Preservation Association (http://www.mirpa.org/). I believe this is the best decision for the track and will continue to promote the history of MIR. It is my understanding that at least once a month we would be able to race on the track at the new facility, but more importantly it helps the preservation association keep the memory of the track alive.

I would like to thank Larry Fulhorst for arranging this donation.

I will have another holiday race in December which may be the last race (or next to the last race) on the track at my house.

Then, any help or advice as to how to get this thing taken apart and out of the house without destroying it will be entertained.

I am glad that Meadowdale will live on. It is one of the nicest road courses in the area.

Meadowdale Raceway will be missed but the Museum is a great location.
Its a great track! If I can be any help in the relocation let me know. I have a trailer available if needed.
Looking forward to racing on it again.

Sniff, Sniff, as a tear rolls down my cheek. Even though it has layed dorment for months it has always been a favorite to race on. Glad to hear that it just won't get cut up. You can count on my help.

I know Phil, it brings a tear to my eye too. But, MIRPA (http://www.mirpa.org/) is the place for it to live on. We can go up to Cary every now and then and visit and race on it. The people who run MIRPA will come over the next time we race here just to see what they are getting. Then after the 1st of the year, I'll start to engineer how to take it apart so I'll need to find my slide rule, protractor and tangentially brush up on my sines and cosines. :)
