What this ROAR proxy fun run needs is something that will allow everyone to recognize what it is; at whatever track it's running at and a banner seems like it might just fill the bill.

So, we're going to have a ROAR banner printed up on vinyl banner material and it will accompany the cars to whatever track they happen to be running at (the banner will be in the car transporter box).

Thompson (studioRS) has agreed to do the design, which as we all know, is great news! Thank you very much, Thompson!! :text-bravo: We're all sorry that your Porsche RS61 couldn't make it to the race this time, but the banner will be an absolutely awesome contribution to this fun run!

It's a work in process at this point, but I'm sure it will be something special by the time that he's finished with it. It will have grommets on the 4 corners to allow each track host to attach it somewhere near his track before the start of the race. And if this becomes an annual event, then this banner can easily follow the cars for more than a single season.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it develop.

Well, here it is. Fresh off the drawing board at StudioRS (Thompson). I think it looks terrific!



The car is the DBR1/300 Aston Martin that won Le Mans in 1959. Totally appropriate to the ROAR proxy fun run. A nice plus for John (urbanwarrior) too. He originally did his Aston up as the #5 car, but when #5 was taken, he modified his number to "51"

The banner is 48" x 18", so it can be proudly hung at all of the track on this proxy fun run.

What would we do without our "in-house" designer, Thompson.............

Thompson can also make these up into T-shirts with the HRW logo on the front pocket. Let me know if you're interested in one.

The banner is absolutely beautiful. I can't wait for the tee shirt design to be finalized. I'm definitely going to be wearing one of those.

The 1959 race and the DBR1 are great choices of setting and car for the banner. It's either Carroll Shelby or Roy Salvadori in that turn, headed for Arnage. I'll definitely be getting one of the T-shirts.
