Hornby Dodge Viper Guide

One of my young racers begged me to let him race my Viper.
The first lap went well. The second lap resulted in a major crash in corner #3. 14' down the back straight at full speed. :angry-tappingfoot:
The guide snapped off when the car snap rolled.
Question: How do you repair the chassis where the guide mounts? :bow-blue: :bow-blue: :bow-blue:

That is a tough repair. Not seeing where or how the break occurred, I would say that something like JB Weld is the only thing that can take those kind of stresses, but often, this type of damage is terminal. I would look for a replacement chassis.

Depending on how/where it broke - maybe use the B-Nova upgrade similar to the tutorial here below?

If you are good with making repairs the B-nova replacement guide works great. If you are not confident in your abilities getting the replacement chassis is the easiest solution.

Not really much to installing one really. A little CA glue and trim back the broken part to accept the repair kit and glue in place.

even if you go with a new chassis still install the b nova adapter. those scaley viper chassis are really weak in the guide area.

I've had good luck with the bnova products. Just be sure to scuff and clean the areas to be glued.

I can't get the guide flag to fit. How much can you ream out the adapter before I run it?
The guide flag is larger than the hole.

You should stock the additional parts. A little mark up isn't a bad thing.
