I have the honor of announcing the second car for the Brass Am (these cars may never meet, but its fun to post build photos just in case). Harry built that Cougar as the first entry.

My car will be a cranberry metallic Mustang with silver racing pinstripes (I mixed the paint myself). I have painted it, stripped the masking, and I cut out decals today. Looks just like I wanted it to look, so far. As soon as I get the decals and clearcoat on it, I'll build a brass chassis that has just a little more weight than the stock plastic chassis did. When the clearcoat is finished and polished, I'll post the body, then it will be all brass and solder. Hoohah!

Now we are talking!

As a car count, here is my first entry now residing at the PDR.

You mean I'm fourth? Geesh it takes a lot to be on top... Oh well, I'm building it anyway. Phooey.

are the stripes decals or painted and taped.

They are Tamiya bright silver, the entire basecoat is. I shot a mix of reds with a touch of light blue clear over it to get the cranberry color. I taped it with 1/4" and 1/32" tape, and was gratified with the results when peeled. All I can say is BURNISH the living heck out of the tapes for these tiny stripes. It's worth it.

Have I missed something? What is Brass Am?

I like that chassis, Rob. At first glance it looked like a D3D scratch builders pod. I'll bet one of those would be exactly the same in that application.
