Wow, that was quite a run on Camaros, only the #9 is left. I'm not sure if this represents favoritism for Chevy's or Scalextric.

Hksk25 - Artus got the #40 Camaro, but there are still 7 cars to choose from.

Arrold - the Challenger is yours!

All of the Mustangs, the Cuda, and the Javelin are still available to be claimed.

Slothead,
If possible can I switch to the Scaley Challenger. The Cuda's 42B motor may be slightly under powered. But if not I will accept what has been given. My Cuda with a 42B is currently 19th in the Trans Am proxy against the Scaleys and Pioneers. Roll the dice. I'll go with either car.

I'm still confused though 8-)

Arrold

I switched you to the Challenger. I have other cars, (Camaros, Mustangs, and Cougars), to replace the 'Cuda if needed.

If there are any other things I can explain please post your thoughts or questions and I'll respond.

Trans Am Challenge status report:

I thought it would be fun to have equal numbers of Camaros and Mustangs in the series (4 each) and top things off with 4 other types to round out the series at 12 cars. Plus, all of the Camaros are Scalextric and all of the Mustangs are Pioneer, creating a competition among brands. But, all of the Camaros were chosen first so you may be telling me something. I do have a few more Scalextric Camaros in the infield that could be used, so if any teams reluctantly chose Mustangs let me know. But I'm also thinking, where are all the blue oval, FORD (First On Race Day) fan? And, lets show some love for Jules too.

Here's the field so far:
CARacing - # 8 Firebird
Arrold - # 77 Challenger
Artus - # 40 Camaro
vonsirius - #13 Camaro
BARC 1 - #22 Mustang
hksk25 - #9 Camaro
chappy - #28 Mustang
CJR - #1j Javelin (due from SCC this week)
Tusco Todd - #1 Camaro

Cars remaining: Pioneer Mustangs #2 & #17, SCX 'Cuda #42. (I know there are concerns the 'Cuda isn't as fast as the Scalextric cars, and if no one wants it I can replace it with a Scalextric Camaro or Cougar. Whatever you guys want is okay.)

I may have jumped ship on the Cuda to fast. My Cuda finished 16th out of 33 cars in the Trans Am Proxy this weekend. But my Challenger finished 6th so I feel good either way. That little 42B is holding its own against those other 18K rated motors. Now to see how this proxy works and how I finish. Let's go team MOPAR.

Okay guys, the Trans Am Challenge field is set.

Team - car#, type of car
CARacing - #8, Firebird
Arroldn - #77, Challenger
Vonsirius - # 13 Camaro
Barc 1 racing - #22, Mustang
Hksk25 - #9, Camaro
Chappy - #28, Mustang
CJR - #1j, Javelin
Tusco Todd - #1, Camaro
Artus - #40, Camaro
Pepsi62 - #42, 'Cuda
David - #2, Mustang
Texasleaguer - #41, Cougar

The Firebird is an RMS resin body on a Scalextric chassis. There are 8 Scalextric cars in the field, along with 3 Pioneer Mustangs and the SCX 'Cuda. I'm still thinking about how to set the starting order for the first race, after that the current points order will be inverted as the starting order for races. The first race will be 40 laps in length, after that we'll see what works best.

I'll start this series right after vonsiruis starts solo racing series V.

I still don't understand how you obtain the driving characteristics of the various drivers. Do they send you a racing file from driving their own personal track?
