COT conversion and painting

Postby spaceshoes » Sat Jun 29, 2013 10:19 pm

Here's the 2013 Kasey Kahne Quaker State car. Started out as an SCX Joey Logano car. The front end isn't flush, but I did fill it in a good bit. I think it looks much better. No doubt that the back looks much better with wing gone. I can't remember who, but I remember someone on the board mentioning how he did the conversion. I took a coping saw on the rear deck lid and used a for sale sign from Wal-mart for the spoiler. I think it turned out looking good. It's been a while since I've worked on a slot car. I enjoyed working on this one. This one is for my youngest son's. Danica's car is next for my older boy.

Thanks. I used Pattos stickers. I tried the stickers last time. They have seemed to take more of a beating than the decals.
