Trans Am Cougar decals needed

Postby slothead » Fri Aug 22, 2014 9:21 pm

I'd like to build this car using the Scalextric white kit.

Anyone know if the decals are available? Slotcars4u does not have this on their site.

Pattos has a similar set, look under Mercury Cougar. You might want to check with Jim Heller on eBay.

Does the front end of that car look different from the Scaley cars? I don't know where you will find that shade of yellow or the decals.

ACE Hardware premium yellow in the rattle can over grey primer would get you close on the color.Image

I recognize the shade, I just don't know where you will find it. It was called "Chrome Yellow", and it was a Ford truck color. Dave in California probably remembers it better than I do.

If you are looking for the Ford color (Chrome Yellow) O'Reilly Auto Parts carries it (just bought a can three weeks ago for a "project") :)

Thanks for the tips. I'll do some paint shopping tomorrow or Monday.
