Remember this works fine for my small projects. If you are looking to go into larger production, you should look into higher quality units.

Ask RMS Resins, or Munter here about their recommendations.

This pump will work for just about anyone. I don't use this one (mine is a Granger), but have a friend that does a lot of casting with his. It is several years old and has been used heavily with no issues at all.

I also use an HF compressor for casting. The first one lasted 12 years. I'd say that is a pretty good lifecycle!

I bought my vac chamber from eBay as I couldnt find anything in NZ. I had to pay customs and duty on the import but the voice on the phone asking for it was so sultry I almost bought another chamber and pump just to hear that voice again.

I have an older compressor that has done some duty as a spray paint unit. It connects to an 8 litre paint pressure pot. The pot needed some minor changes and fittings but it works fine.

You ought to see those phone girls in person. Usually that great phone voice is someone about 235 pounds!

I've heard 97lbs'ers sound like that too..... mines 140lbs and sounds good to me.

Just a side note for 3d printing.
One of the Indycar teams would print mirrors (for the speedway because the aero was so critical and a small change can have big results) but they were brittle so they put the parts in epoxy in the vacuum tank and pull the epoxy into the part and make it usable.

You could do this with 3d bodies / chassis. They would be strong but it might make it too heavy.
