Lots and lots of rust accumulating here in Merrimac now. I think my tuning might only slow your cars down................................

And that is a reason why I still wait with my.... let the rust set first.... will start after long weekend here.

I found baking nsr chassis makes them softer

I have not tuned a NSR car myself
but there are a few in club that are very very good at tuning them
and they say never use the hot bath to straighten the chassis for the reason Radarek said

No kidding?...............hmmmm, well, that's two dead then, because both my Ford GT-40 and my 917k have now been through the oven straightening.....................

I'm also going away from rubber for the first time in a very long time - urethane this time around for both cars..........

Richard, that looks very good! I like the custom motor mount............ Looks like the chassis will be well planted and will provide plenty of grip for those NSR rubber rears......... Nice!

Need some wheels for my Fly Porsche 908/3, what do you guys recommend? I would like to keep them similarly sized to the stock ones if possible.

CBDesign 15x11 Racing wheels, with CGSlotcars period inserts. Works well on the old Fly Porsche 908/3 cars. Others may have other suggestions for you.

Yup, after the hot water straightening treatment, the chassis are softer than they were when they went in; unlike the Slot.It and other chassis I've straightened. In terms of stiffness, they are now softer than the stock white hard chassis, but harder than the stock black medium chassis. I'll have to play around some with the interaction of the pod and the chassis to get the stiffness that I'm looking for back in these two chassis. It will be interesting to see what the final outcome is..........

I used CB Design 5 spoke wheels on my 908 and painted them black then sanded the outer rim back to silver, they look almost like the original wheels except that they are now round.
